By purchasing a product or service from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Products and Services
We sell digital products and educational services, which may include:
Online courses
Downloadable guides, drawings, templates and documents
Videos and recorded presentations
Memberships or subscriptions
Workshops, consultations or other educational services
The specific contents, price and terms of each product or service will be described on the applicable sales page or checkout page.
3. Educational Information Only
Our courses and digital products are provided for general educational and informational purposes.
Our courses, videos, drawings, diagrams and digital products are NOT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS and are NOT intended to teach you how to install, build, modify or repair any marine, electrical, mechanical or structural system. We are sharing what we did on Tangaroa, the decisions we made and what we learned along the way. Every vessel, system and installation is different. Any work on your own vessel should be designed, reviewed and completed by appropriately qualified professionals and must comply with all applicable codes, standards, manufacturer requirements and regulations.
Although we share our knowledge, experiences and opinions, our content is NOT a substitute for advice from a qualified marine engineer, electrician, naval architect, mechanic, financial professional, legal professional or other appropriately licensed specialist.
You are responsible for deciding whether the information is appropriate for your vessel, project, circumstances and level of experience.
4. Age Requirement
You must be at least 19 years old, or the age of majority in your province, territory or country, to purchase our products or services.
By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
5. Orders and Acceptance
When you place an order, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Your order is accepted when your payment is successfully processed and we send you an order confirmation or provide access to the purchased product.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:
Payment cannot be processed
Incorrect information was provided
A pricing or product-description error occurred
We reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorized use or misuse
The purchase violates these Terms and Conditions
If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will refund the amount paid.
6. Prices and Currency
Prices will be shown on the applicable sales or checkout page.
Unless otherwise stated, prices are listed in USD. The currency displayed at checkout is the currency that will apply to your purchase.
Applicable taxes may be added at checkout based on the purchaser’s location and the tax rules that apply to the transaction.
We may change our prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been completed, except where a recurring subscription is renewed after proper notice of a price change.
7. Payment
Payment is due at the time of purchase unless a payment plan or subscription arrangement is specifically offered.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal. We do not directly store complete credit-card information.
You agree to provide current and accurate billing information and authorize us and our payment provider to charge the payment method you provide.
8. Payment Plans
Where a payment plan is offered, you agree to make every payment shown at checkout.
A payment plan is a commitment to pay the full purchase price in instalments. It is not a monthly subscription that may be cancelled after the first payment.
If a scheduled payment fails, we may:
Attempt to process the payment again
Contact you to update your payment information
Suspend access to the product or course
Cancel access if the outstanding payment is not resolved
You remain responsible for any unpaid amount, subject to applicable law.
9. Subscriptions and Memberships
Where a product is sold as a recurring subscription or membership, the billing frequency and price will be displayed before purchase.
Your subscription will automatically renew until it is cancelled.
You may cancel future renewals through your account or by contacting us at crew@onboardtangaroa.com. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not normally provide a refund for a billing period that has already begun, except where required by law or where a specific refund policy states otherwise.
Access may continue until the end of the paid billing period.
10. Digital Delivery and Account Access
Digital products are normally delivered by email, download link or access to an online account.
You are responsible for:
Providing a correct email address
Checking spam or junk folders
Maintaining access to your email account
Keeping your login information secure
Using compatible software and internet-connected equipment
Please contact us at crew@onboardtangaroa.com if you do not receive access within 24 HOURS of purchase.
You must not share your login credentials or allow unauthorized people to access a course, membership or digital product through your account.
11. Refund Policy
Because our products are digital and may be accessed or downloaded immediately, all sales are final unless:
A different refund guarantee is stated on the applicable sales page
The product was charged more than once
We are unable to provide the purchased product
A refund is required under applicable consumer-protection law
Where a product includes a stated money-back guarantee, you must request the refund within the period and according to the conditions described on the applicable sales page.
To request a refund, email crew@onboardtangaroa.com with your name, order email address and the name of the product purchased.
Refunds that are approved will normally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times are controlled partly by the payment provider and financial institution.
Nothing in this policy limits any cancellation, refund or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Course and Product Updates
We may update, improve, replace or reorganize course lessons, downloads and other digital materials.
Where a product is described as being updated throughout an ongoing project, updates will be provided at our discretion and according to the scope described on the product’s sales page.
Purchasing a product does not guarantee that updates will continue indefinitely unless lifetime or ongoing updates are expressly included in the offer.
13. Results Are Not Guaranteed
We do not guarantee that purchasing or using one of our products will produce a particular technical, financial, business, personal or project result.
Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your vessel, equipment, budget, experience, decisions, location, regulations and implementation.
Testimonials and examples describe individual experiences and are not guarantees that you will receive the same results.
14. Intellectual Property
All course content and digital products—including videos, drawings, diagrams, photographs, text, downloads, templates, graphics and recordings—are owned by or licensed to 1190584 B.C. Ltd. and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
Your purchase gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the product for your own personal or internal business purposes.
Unless we provide written permission, you may not:
Copy or redistribute the product
Share downloads or account access
Resell, sublicense or publish the content
Upload the content to another platform
Record or redistribute course sessions
Use the content to create a competing product
Remove copyright or ownership notices
Ownership of our original materials remains with us.
15. Customer Conduct
You agree not to use our website, community, courses or products:
For unlawful or fraudulent purposes
To harass, threaten or abuse another person
To introduce malware or interfere with our systems
To gain unauthorized access to another account
To distribute our copyrighted materials without permission
In a manner that disrupts a course, membership or community
We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated violation of these conditions. Refunds will not normally be provided when access is terminated for misconduct, except where required by law.
16. Third-Party Services and Links
Our products and websites may use or link to third-party services such as systeme.io, Stripe, PayPal, YouTube, Zoom or other platforms.
We are not responsible for the availability, security, content or independent practices of third-party services. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
17. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect, use and disclose personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian and British Columbia privacy laws.
Information may be collected for purposes including:

Our Privacy Policy is available at: [INSERT PRIVACY-POLICY LINK]
18. Email Communications
Transactional emails relating to a purchase, account, course or subscription may be sent as necessary to provide the product or service.
Marketing emails will be sent only where we have an appropriate basis to do so. Marketing messages will identify the sender and include a way to unsubscribe.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional messages relating to an active purchase, account or subscription.
19. Availability and Technical Interruptions
We make reasonable efforts to keep our websites and digital products available, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
Access may occasionally be interrupted because of:
Maintenance
Internet or hosting failures
Platform outages
Security issues
Events beyond our reasonable control
Where reasonably possible, we will work to restore access. Temporary interruptions do not automatically entitle a customer to a refund.
20. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our products and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that:
Every product will meet every customer’s individual needs
The information will be error-free or suitable for every application
Access will always be uninterrupted
A particular result will be achieved
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1190584 B.C. Ltd., Onboard Tangaroa and their directors, officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the purchase or use of a product or service.
This may include loss resulting from:
Project decisions
Equipment selection or installation
Vessel damage
Business interruption
Loss of revenue or data
Reliance on educational information
Unauthorized modifications or unsafe practices
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
22. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1190584 B.C. Ltd. and its directors, officers, employees and contractors from claims arising from:
Your unlawful use of our products
Your violation of these Terms
Your infringement of another person’s rights
Your unauthorized distribution of our intellectual property
This section does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by our own unlawful conduct or negligence where liability cannot legally be excluded.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions occasionally.
The version that applies to a purchase is generally the version presented when the order was placed. Updated terms may apply to future purchases and, where legally permitted and after appropriate notice, future subscription renewals.
The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the most recent version.
24. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia.
Subject to any consumer rights that require otherwise, disputes will be submitted to the courts of British Columbia.
25. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
26. Entire Agreement
These Terms, the applicable sales page, checkout information, refund policy and Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and 1190584 B.C. Ltd. concerning your purchase.
Where a specific sales page expressly provides terms that differ from these general conditions, the specific terms of that offer will apply to the extent of the inconsistency.
